1st Choice Fire, LLC is a Washington Level 3 fire protection sprinkler contractor based in Bonney Lake. We work directly with owners, builders, GCs, and property managers on commercial, multifamily, and residential projects across the Puget Sound.

1st Choice Fire was founded in 2023 by Michael Berger, a Washington Level 3 sprinkler contractor. The company runs a small, focused crew that handles the full sprinkler scope — drawings, hydraulic calculations, install, and AHJ sign-off — without the layers of a large fire-protection firm.
We built the company to be the contractor we'd want on the other end of the phone: a real number that gets answered, plans reviewed in days not weeks, and written quotes that match the scope.
Most of our work sits in four buckets: residential NFPA 13D systems, multifamily apartment installs, commercial tenant-improvement sprinkler modifications, and underground fire-line work for retail and commercial properties.
